TIFF 2015 Adds BORN TO BE BLUE, INTO THE FOREST in Canadian Lineup

     August 5, 2015

The 2015 Toronto International Film Festival has made some additions to its already stellar lineup. The Canadian films that will play during the prestigious fest include the world premiere of Robert Budreau’s jazz drama Born to Be Blue, starring Ethan Hawke and reimagining the life of Chet Baker in the 1960s. Also premiering is Patricia Rozema’s dystopian drama Into the Forest starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood, as well as Guy Édoin’s Ville-Marie, which stars Monica Bellucci and revolves around the intersecting lives of four strangers.

Additionally, the initial lineup of documentaries is formidable, with the world premiere of Avi Lewis’ climate change film This Changes Everything, the poet laureate doc Al Purdy Was Here, and Patrick Reed and Michelle Shepard’s Guantanamo’s Child: Omar Khadir, which tells the story of a Guantanamo Bay detainee in his own words.

Look for reviews and coverage from the Collider team at TIFF next month. The 2015 Toronto International Film Festival runs September 10th – 20th.
