Tuesday TV Ratings: THE FLASH Crossover Bests AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Finale Numbers

     May 13, 2015

The Tuesday TV ratings for May 12th are in; here are some of the highlights:

  • At 8 p.m., The Voice was up a tenth to a 2.1 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, and also notched 8.98 million total viewers (that strong rating helped NBC tie with CBS for the night’s ratings win).
  • The season finale of NCIS on CBS was down a tenth to a 1.9 rating, but managed to pull in 14.75 million viewers, helping CBS win the night overall in that metric.
  • Dancing with the Stars dropped the third place, even though it was up 7 percent to a 1.5 rating and 9.96 million viewers on ABC

Also at 8 p.m., The Flash on the CW held steady with a 1.4 rating and 3.51 million viewers, but it’s notable (just as two superpowered genre shows running on the same night) that that ratings demographic bested Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s 2-hour finale, although just barely. S.H.I.E.L.D. (starting at 9 p.m.) brought in a 1.3 rating and 3.95 million viewers, which was down to its series low, and a 13 percent drop  from last week.

  • CBS dominated the 9 p.m. hour with the season finale of NCIS: New Orleans, which got a small finale bump to a 1.7 rating and 13.52 million viewers.
  • Fox’s American Idol took a dive down to a 1.2 rating and 5.49 million viewers, also at 9 p.m.
  • Undateable ran in another hourlong bloc on NBC, and kept its ratings from last week as it went into its season finale, notching a 1.3 rating in both of its slots, and 4.32 million viewers at 9 p.m., and 3.95 million viewers at 9:30 p.m.
  • iZombie was up a tenth on the CW to a 0.7 rating and 1.76 million viewers at 9 p.m.
  • The last season finale of the night, for Chicago Fire, actually dropped down to a 1.5 rating and 6.63 million viewers (finale bumps are really no longer a given) on NBC.
  • CBS’s CSI: Cyber (which will be moving to Sundays in the fall) was steady with last week’s 1.2 rating and 8.7 million viewers.
