Will Arnett Returns to FOX

Will Arnett, when paired with the right material, is one of the funniest men out there. He has yet to find a leading motion picture role to harness his talents but in sketches and television programs, he’s God’s gravelly-voiced gift to comedy. His sketch on “Human Giant” was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my life (“I’m gonna babysit your vagina!”) and whenever he’s on “30 Rock” you wish he would just join the show.

Of course, that probably won’t happen since he just got paid a seven-figure development deal to star in his own sitcom on Fox. Judging by Arnett’s previous work, I doubt it will be in the vein of “Friends” or “Two and a Half Men”. Arnett is already keeping busy with his recurring role on “30 Rock” along with providing voice work for “Arrested Development” creator Mitch Hurwitz’ upcoming animated comedy “Sit Down, Shut Up”.

In the meantime, I will anxiously await a live-action Mr. Banana-Grabber show.
