Win Tickets to the World Premiere of the HUNGER GAMES in Los Angeles; Plus New Trailer

     February 2, 2012

Surely one of the most anticipated films of 2012 is the feature film adaptation of the first book in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy The Hunger Games. For the uninitiated, The Hunger Games takes place in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem. As a means of reminding Panem’s 12 districts that the country’s government holds all the power, one teenage boy and one teenage girl are randomly selected from each district to participate in a televised fight to the death called “The Hunger Games.” Directed by Gary Ross, the pic stars Jennifer Lawrence as protagonist—and Hunger Games participant—Katniss Everdeen.

As we’re about 50 days from the release of the film, Lionsgate has provided us with two tickets to the film’s Los Angeles world premiere being held at Nokia Live on March 12!  Hit the jump to find out how you can win and you can also watch the brand new trailer here.

Since there will most likely be quite a few entries, we want to make sure that the tickets go to a true fan of the series. In order to enter the contest, we want you to tell us what district of Panem you think you would represent and why.  There’s no minimum or maximum requirement for how long your entry should be, so feel free to write as much (or as little) as you’d like.

Please send your entry to with THE HUNGER GAMES Premiere in the subject line, and be sure to include your full name and a phone number where we may reach you in the body of your submission.  Also, only one entry per person.

Entries will be accepted no later than February 22th at 5pm PST.  The winner will be contacted a day or two after, and we’ll announce who won on Collider February 29th.

Finally, just to be clear, this contest is open to everyone!  You can live in Los Angeles, London, Madrid, even Moscow.  Everyone is welcome to enter.  However, you are responsible for all costs to attend the premiere.  We’re just providing two tickets to the event (for you and a guest). That’s why we’re ending the contest on February 22.  It’ll give whoever wins a chance to make travel plans and not pay a fortune.

Head over to the official Hunger Games Facebook page to learn more about the premiere and if you have any questions ask Steve on Twitter.
